Agora's offer letters give you the ability to create offers both for salaried employees as well as those employees paid on a hourly basis.

Here's an example of what an hourly offer looks like:

Note that adding equity and/or benefits to your Agora offer letter is optional based on what is included in that candidate's compensation package. If your hourly employees have a different benefits package, you can create one in the benefits settings page!

Creating an Hourly Offer

  1. To create an hourly offer in Agora, navigate to the Offers homepage and click "New Offer"

  2. Enter in the role and offer details

  3. In the Compensation section of the offer creation page, there will be a salary field that will allow you to change to Hourly salary or Monthly salary from the default Yearly Salary.

4. After you’ve filled in all the details you need, select Create Offer in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

6. Once you have created the offer, click on the candidate's unique offer url to preview how the offer is presented to the candidate.

You can review everything and make edits from the offer details page.

Using the Docusign integration with hourly offers

Agora's DocuSign integration allows candidates to generate their legal offer document when one has been included in their Agora Offer Letter by the offer assignee (creator). During offer creation the assignee selects the appropriate template based on the variables or tokens they would like included.

For example:

The amount displayed in the {{BASE_SALARY}} token is pulled from the amount entered in the Hourly salary field in the offer creation form.

We recommend having an hourly specific offer letter template. That includes the base salary token within surrounding contextual language, such as:

You will be paid {{BASE_SALARY}} per hour

Please note: The {{HOURLY_SALARY}} is a calculation based on the amount in {{BASE_SALARY}}. If you use this token, the amount that will be displayed is based on ({{BASE_SALARY}} x 48 weeks x 40 hours).

Similar logic applies to {{MONTHLY_SALARY}}. If you use this token, the amount that will be displayed is based on a calculation: ({{BASE_SALARY}} x 4 weeks x 40 hours)

Creating Hourly Offers using the Greenhouse Integration

Creating hourly offer letters through the Greenhouse integration requires using the Base Salary field in conjunction with the new Base salary pay period field.

When creating an offer within the Agora app, the pay period is based on the selection in the drop down.

Creating hourly offers using Greenhouse requires the creation of a new Base salary pay period drop down field. In order to create it, you will need to navigate to the Greenhouse mapping page in the Agora app and add Base salary pay period from the field option list. This will create a new custom field in your Greenhouse offer form. Please read about Greenhouse field mapping.

This will create a new field on your offer letter form in Greenhouse. It works the same as the drop down in the Agora app.

Note: If your Greenhouse offer form has a separate field for hourly rate, please get in touch with the Agora support team to discuss custom configuration.
